The solid state dye cell is a dye doped modified PMMA designed for wavelength conversion of a pulsed Nd:YAG laser. High output stability and long life time was achieved by improving the fabrication processes of solid state dye. The laser oscillation over a wide wavelength region is possible by using a pump wavelength of 532nm (Nd:YAG SHG). It can be used as a light source that covers from visible to near infrared by changing the solid state dye. The elements must be used in a proper direction, marked on the side and kept away from high temperature or direct sunlight.
