BBO crystal posseses broad transparency range from 185 nm to 3,3 µm for few millimiters thick crystals and reasonable transparency range from 3 µm to 5,2 µm for few tens of µm thick crystals. It is an attractive solution as a nonlinear crystal, since it provide phase-matching conditions for various second order interactions almost over entire transparency region.
