Bi-convex spherical lenses feature two convex surfaces with same radius of curvature, while their focal length is positive. These lenses feature best performance when used for finite conjugate (0,2X - 5X ratio) applications. At 1:1 conjugate ratio spherical aberrations, coma and distortion are minimized.
