Potassium Gadolinium Tungstate (in short – KGW) is a monoclinic double tungstate crystal used as a Raman shifter for laser radiation frequency tuning or in Raman lasers. It has a broad transparency range from 350 nm to 5,5 μm and two large Raman shifts of 768 cm-1 and 901 cm-1.
